Abstract
In this proposal we propose the creation of an album composed of six musical pieces framed in the urban genre, fused with rhythms and musical instruments representative of the Colombian pacifica, caribe and andina regions. We propose to compose six originals songs, divided into groups of two musical works corresponding to each region, exploring how traditional rhythms such as the currulao, the tamborito, the bunde, the porro, the bambuco, the pasillo, the cumbia, the mapalé and the bullerengue are integrated and amalgamated with the instrumentation of recognized genres of urban music such as dancehall, reggaeton, Latin pop and trap. For the interpretation and recording of the songs, we will call to perform with extensive experience and knowledge of the musical traditions of these regions. This proposal wants to demostrate how traditional rhythms and musical instruments can be used as support and sonic elements in the composition of urban music.
