Objective: To analyze the scientific literature on entrepreneurial orientation and financial literacy among owner-managers as strategic resources for improving access to finance in microenterprises.Design/Methodology: A bibliometric analysis of 580 documents included in Web of Science and Scopus was conducted using Bibliometrix, complemented by a systematic literature review of 52 studies selected according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) guidelines.Findings: A network of keyword co-occurrences, clusters, and thematic maps were identified, revealing research avenues that integrate themes related to innovation, entrepreneurship, digital transformation, entrepreneurial orientation, and emerging markets. Furthermore, the results indicate that owner-managers’ financial literacy, including financial knowledge, behavior, and attitudes, has significant effects on access to finance. Nevertheless, despite the importance of financial resources for enhancing microenterprise performance, research in this field remains limited. Conclusions: The literature on entrepreneurial orientation and financial literacy can be understood through an examination of the dimensions of these constructs in microenterprise management. In this regard, the findings highlight innovation, risk-taking, and owner-managers’ level of education as strategic resources that predict access to finance. However, relatively few studies have jointly examined these factors within the context of microenterprises.Originality: This study identifies potential research directions linking entrepreneurial orientation and owner-managers’ financial literacy as key factors in improving access to formal finance in microenterprises. In addition, it contributes to ongoing discussions regarding the distinctive features of this type of enterprise, particularly given that research in this area is still scarce and scattered.en-US
