dc.description	Entrepreneurial ecosystems encompass the actors and factors within geographic areas that collectively foster entrepreneurship. Research on these ecosystems emphasizes the importance of “place” in both innovation and technology management. In particular, the elements and attributes of local communities significantly influence the development of new technologies, business models, and products. Increasingly, organizations are harnessing technological innovations to attain both financial sustainability and societal impact. Entrepreneurs who establish and manage these organizations, commonly referred to as “social entrepreneurs,” strive to create thriving businesses while addressing critical societal issues such as poverty, homelessness, human trafficking, environmental degradation, and animal cruelty. Although successfully pursuing sustainable development opportunities is challenging, social entrepreneurs can utilize local resources and their entrepreneurial ecosystems to bolster their initiatives. Despite substantial progress in understanding the interplay between entrepreneurs’ agency and the dynamics of their local environments, there remain important opportunities to explore how entrepreneurs interact with their ecosystems while creating technological innovations, managing their ventures, and striving for societal impact.	en-US
dc.description	Los ecosistemas empresariales engloban a los agentes y factores de las zonas geográficas que fomentan colectivamente el espíritu empresarial. La investigación sobre estos ecosistemas hace hincapié en la importancia del «lugar» tanto en la innovación como en la gestión de la tecnología. En concreto, los elementos y atributos de las comunidades locales influyen significativamente en el desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías, modelos empresariales y productos. Cada vez más, las organizaciones aprovechan las innovaciones tecnológicas para lograr tanto la sostenibilidad financiera como el impacto social. Los empresarios que crean y gestionan estas organizaciones, denominados comúnmente «empresarios sociales», se esfuerzan por crear empresas prósperas al tiempo que abordan problemas sociales críticos como la pobreza, la falta de vivienda, la trata de seres humanos, la degradación del medio ambiente y la crueldad contra los animales. Aunque perseguir con éxito oportunidades de desarrollo sostenible es todo un reto, los emprendedores sociales pueden utilizar los recursos locales y sus ecosistemas empresariales para reforzar sus iniciativas. A pesar de los avances sustanciales en la comprensión de la interacción entre la agencia de los emprendedores y la dinámica de sus entornos locales, sigue habiendo importantes oportunidades para explorar cómo los emprendedores interactúan con sus ecosistemas mientras crean innovaciones tecnológicas, gestionan sus empresas y se esfuerzan por lograr un impacto social.	es-ES
