| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | Evaluation of the efficiency of a system of drying of parchment coffee was carried out. Elements of last technology were incorporated such an inverter-type compressor that allows to improve the energetic efficiency and a rotating drum which improves homogeneity in the drying of the parchment coffee. Numerical simulation was implemented with the CFX module of the Ansys 17.0® software, which allowed to predict the dynamic fluid behavior of the air in the passage through the coils and drying chamber with the rotary drum. Its effect on the distribution of temperature, speed and pressure drops was determined. The construction of the prototype was carried out based on the simulations and the control elements of the inverter system were incorporated into the compressor. The results show that the modifications in the coils were adequate as the air flow passes through the entire surface of these coils. The drying temperature and the grain temperature were homogeneous with 47.8 ° C and 41.6 ° C respectively, allowing the preservation of the structural conditions of the seed without damage. There was an inefficiency of the dehumidification process of 63%, making the cost of energy high compared to other fuels. The efficiency of the heat pump was COP 4.47, improving average market values. It was concluded that parchment coffee drying with rotary drum using heat pump dehumidification and Inverter type compressor may be a viable alternative once the dehumidification process is improved | spa |
