Abstract
This work proposes a reflection on the relationship between art and literature while highlighting several core concepts such as ekphrasis, narration, vision, image, figuration, among others. It is focused on descriptions and analyses of works of art. Besides, it addresses the topic of representation of human bodies in Hellenistic art and the relationship between (literary) narration and (sculpture) art based on the emblematic artwork Laocoön and His Sons. Likewise, it examines a selection of works by following ekphrastic strategies as a rhetorical figure.
