Abstract
The paper argues that if the study of knowledge is naturalized, for example from evolutionary biology, this leads to the relativity of perception and hence the relativity of knowledge and science. Then, the naturalization of epistemology results in the acceptance and assertion of epistemological relativism and the confirmation of implausible assumptions of realistic and positivistic views about knowledge, which claim that there is a unique reality and a cumulative nature of sciences.
