Abstract
This project consists of the elaboration of four songs of our authorship, inspired by songs by artists such as Joaquín Bedoya, Octavio Mesa, Las Hermanitas Calle, among others. They will show the process of composition, performance, recording and editing. The four songs will be based on subgenres of guasca music, such as the march, the corrido, the waltz, and the paso doble. The purpose of this work is to create rock music from these songs. It is important to highlight that it is intended to introduce the context of our culture and how it was possible, through references, ideas, stories, opinions, experiences and other complementary sources, to reach this objective. In this way, we want to convey to the reader how it is possible to transform a genre like guasca into a modern genre like rock and thus instill a motivational message so that music is not seen in a "grid" way, but rather that we dare to innovate and show new ideas.
