dc.description.abstractEsta investigación centra su mirada en el desarrollo de la crítica y la historia del arte moderno en Colombia a partir del legado de Marta Traba. Su trabajo resulta crucial para comprender las transformaciones suscitadas en el campo artístico del país con la llegada de las vanguardias, así como también la apertura hacia nuevos lenguajes y prácticas artísticas dentro de los espacios expositivos y curatoriales producidos en Medellín durante las décadas de 1950 hasta 1980, tales como las Bienales de Arte de Coltejer y el I Coloquio de Arte no Objetual. Sin duda alguna, los postulados teóricos de Marta Traba permiten comprender los alcances y limitaciones del ejercicio de la crítica de arte, al mismo tiempo que se plantean reflexiones en torno a la construcción de la identidad nacional, la liberación del artista y la autonomía del arte en torno a los paradigmas que rigieron el arte colonial y republicano colombiano.spa
