| spa |

dc.description.abstractenglish | Monstrosity, a feature that throughout Western culture has been hidden, denied and displayed, is still persistently shown despite the concealment; it is disclosed in various artistic, literary and film expressions. This paper, derived from a research of the same name -and submitted as final work for the Master’s degree on Aesthetics at Universidad Nacional de Colombia, Medellín-, is mainly focused on the photographic work of the American artist, Diane Arbus. We discuss Diane Arbus’s unique and peculiar way of seeing the world, the different faces of monstrosity and difference, as well as those of normality and otherness. | eng |
